This Painting developed into a vision of what may be in a poets mind prior to creating a poem.for me the painting is a tribute to Lawrence Ferlingetti , the poet who owned City Lights Bookstore in North Beach ,San Francisco where I roamed in my earlier life.
It has echos of my own personal iconography .
