Mona and Me

This is a self portrait in acrylic paint of a photograph taken about 12 years ago from a day at the beach. I love color and the beach so this was a fun project. Portraits were some of my earliest subjects of my paintings doing commissions and gifts for family and clients. I had always been hesitant to do a self portrait as I’m usually uncomfortable with photos of me. I work primarily in acrylic paint and mixed media and have been a working artist and designer for 40 plus years.
